Karl Hoenecke
UBS Financial Services

Karl Hoenecke graduated from Univ. of California at Santa Barbara in 1993 and has had a varied and successful business career since. Mr. Hoenecke spent several years with Enterprise Rent A Car as Southern California's youngest Regional Remarketing Manager. After Enterprise Karl pursued opportunities that allowed him to work in small business in a variety of capacities. Most of his time was spent as an advisor to franchise owners that were part of the world's largest IT training provider network. It was during this time that Karl developed a passion for helping others achieve their goals. His success advising business owners led to positions in management running different business units. After his success in turning significant monthly deficits into profits in both Cleveland and San Francisco, Mr. Hoenecke earned a reputation for his ability to turn around failing business groups. This work led to a job offer as a VP of sales and business development in Tampa where he and his wife, Laura, have resided ever since.

All of this time in business led to a decision to seek out a profession where Mr. Hoenecke had control of his career while providing a critical service to his clients that was based on a strong personal relationship. Financial Services was a natural fit of the right career with Karl's business background. Karl's previous experience taught him that the ability to put the client first and focus on creating client specific solutions to their challenges and to achieve their goals was most important. He found that at UBS where the company culture puts the client at the center of the process to ensure that each relationship is a fulfilling one for those who work with UBS.

After building his practice as a Financial Advisor, Mr. Hoenecke looked for an opportunity to use his talents to give back to the Tampa community. It was this pursuit that led him to work with Wheels of Success. The mission of WOS resonated with Karl because of his previous work in the rental car industry as well as his experience living in Southern California – another region of the country where it is difficult to survive without a car. Karl has been a board member of Wheels of Success since 2006 and also serves on the board of Lutheran Marketing Precepts, a non-profit organization which supports the work of religious and humanitarian missions throughout the world.
